Ömer Faruk Satılmış, who had been heavily wounded during the attack of soldiers and special operation teams in Özalp district of Van on October 1, has lost his life.

Satılmış had been shot in the head as military forces blockaded the Tepedam neighborhood of Özalp on October 1, when they executed 2 HPG guerrillas, while also opening fire on civilians in the neighborhood, leaving three wounded, including a child.

Satılmış was since receiving treatment at Yüzüncü Yıl University Dursun Odabaşı Hospital in Van, and couldn't survive despite all the medical efforts to save him for four days.

The youth will be laid to rest in his hometown Özalp today following a funeral ceremony in Van.
