YPG: 11 gang members killed in Sheikh Maqsoud

11 members of gang groups were killed in clashes in Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood of Aleppo.

YPG (People's Defense Units) Press Office has released a statement reporting ongoing attacks on Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood of Aleppo by gang groups affiliated to Lîwaa Sultan Murad, Ahrar Al-Sham, 16th Division, Lîwaa Al-Fetih, Festeqim Kema Emert Community, 13th Regiment, Firqa Al Shemaliye and Nûreddîn Zenkî Battalion.

The YPG statement said gang groups conducted a bombardment with mortar and hell cannons aimed at the neighborhood of Sheikh Maqsoud at the night of April 12.

Heavy clashes erupted between YPG forces and gang groups that attempted to infiltrate into the neighborhood simultaneously from the areas of Seken Şebab and Muselles. At least 11 members of the gangs were verified killed in clashes.

YPG also reported ongoing attacks by the Turkish military along the Rojava border, adding; "Within the scope of these attacks, Turkish troops attacked the mainly Arab village of Susik to the west of Girê Spî on April 12. One civilian died as a result of this aggression by the Turkish military."
