YPG members: We will cleanse these lands of the gangs

YPG members fighting in the Ayn İsa front express their resolve to get rid of the gangs. The fighters say, “We are in these positions for a democratic Syria and a free Rojava.”

The town of Ayn İsa, 45 km from Raqqa and 30 km from Girê Spî, is the final position on the contact with ISIS gangs. YPG/YPJ and SDF (QSD) forces have full control with the fortified positions and the trust of local people in the area.

YPG fighters in the positions, Rubar Şerwan and Kamuran Agit spoke to the ANF.

“WE WILL REMOVE THE GANGS FROM RAQQA”

YPG fighter Şerwan said: “As a YPG fighter, standing in these positions is very precious and important to us. Arriving in these positions was possible because of our martyrs. Their most important wish was the freedom of humanity. We are trying to make their wish come true by ridding these lands of the enemies of humanity, the ISIS gangs.”

Stressing that the lands they stand in are technically in Raqqa, that the positions were the last positions just 45 km away from the city, Şerwan said, “The forces from Martyr Gelhat Initiative launched in Kobanê Canton and the Martyr Rubar Qamışlo Initiative launched in Cizîr Canton joined here and we have cleared all gangs from the area. Standing in these positions to protect the work done by our martyrs and ensure the people’s safety is a very precious mission for us. We plan to strengthen this mission by maneuvers and ridding these lands and the lands of Raqqa of the gangs.”

“FOR A DEMOCRATIC SYRIA AND A FREE ROJAVA”

YPG figher Agit said: “We are in these positions for a democratic Syria and a free Rojava. These positions are the guarantee of the Syrian people’s freedom and that all peoples will live equal and free. ISIS gangs oppressing the people will be removed from these lands for sure. This demand is strongest in the Arab people. Arabs living in the lands we are liberating now live together with us, side by side. They live as they wish. This has been possible through our martyrs.”
