YPG Press Office has released a written statement providing details of recent attacks on Tishrin Dam in Kobanê and Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood of Aleppo.

The statement by YPG said that the attacks of SNC affiliated gang groups Sultan Murad Brigade, Ahrar Al-Sham, 16th Battalion, Al-Fetih Brigade, Sultan Mihemed Al Fetih Brigade, Al Mucahidin Army, Suwar Al-Sham, Ahrar Suruye, Jabhat Al Shamiye, Siqor Al Jabal, 101th Battalion, Foc Alewal, Jabhat Al-Turkmen, Ebû Emera Battalion, Al Islam Army, Festeqim Kema Emert Group, 13th Brigade, Al Shemaliye Battalion and Nûreddîn Zenkî Brigade continued their joint attacks on Aleppo’s Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood.

According to the statement, gang groups attacked the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood of Aleppo with hell cannons on May 3. After spotting the positions of the gangs, YPG forces launched an operation in Seken Shebab and Ashrafiye regions, as a result of which 3 gang members were killed.

YPG reported that ISIS gangs conducted an attack on the northwestern and eastern side of the Tishrin Dam at 17:00 on May 3.

YPG further reported a rocket attack by gang groups on Cindirês town of Efrin on May 3. The attack with heavy weaponry targeted civilians and inflicted a heavy material damage.
