The General Coordination of YPS (Civil Defense Units) reported in a written statement that the resistance of their units endures against the attacks of state forces.
YPS stated that their units conducted an action against a base station in Xaçort (Hacıbekir) neighborhood of Van's central İpekyolu district at 23:30 on May 29. A second sabotage action targeted the group of 20 policemen that gathered at the scene in the wake of the first action. YPS said 17 policemen got heavily wounded, but didn't clarify the death toll which was announced by the Turkish media to be 2. YPS added that this action was carried out in memory of the YPS martyr Pale Berxwadan (Umut Çelebi).
