The General Coordination of Civilian Defense Units (YPS) has announced the results of actions and clashes of the last 3 days. Accordingly, at least 20 members of Turkish forces were killed in Şırnak province and Nusaybin district of Mardin.

YPS General Coordination pointed out that the popular resistance for self-rule endures against the occupation and invasion campaign of the Turkish regime in Northern Kurdistan. The statement remarked that Turkish forces affiliated to Erdoğan's Palace were suffering heavier blows every day.

The General Coordination of Civilian Defense Units provided the following details regarding the actions conducted by their units waging the self-defense of towns.

NUSAYBİN

According to the statement, a YPS unit targeted a house occupied by state forces in Martyr Gelhat neighborhood on April 10. The number of casualties left here couldn't be verified. The same day, YPS units destroyed a digger trying to enter the neighborhood at 10:30 in the morning.

On April 11, one member of gendarmerie special operations (JÖH) was killed while trying to get in a house at 07:00 in the morning.

On April 12, YPS units hit a digger with rockets as it tried to enter the Kanika neighborhood. The digger was destroyed and two special operations police (PÖH) in it were killed.

The same day, 3 gendarmes from special operations were killed as YPS members infiltrated into their area in Koçer neighborhood. 2 other gendarmes were shot dead as they moved towards the scene to retrieve the corpses. A following action by YPS units left 2 more JÖH members dead.

The statement noted that; "These corpses remained in the hands of our units for 5 hours, after which Turkish forces bombed the scene with tank and mortar fire. Photos of these corpses which were also targeted by the aggression with heavy weaponry, are available by our side and will be made public later on."

ŞIRNAK

On April 11, YPS units hit a digger and an armored vehicle of Turkish forces that tried to enter Cumhuriyet neighborhood. One of the operators died here and the damaged vehicles retreated from the area.

On the same day, 4 JÖH members were killed while trying to enter the area of self-rule. Another Turkish unit that attempted to intervene the scene was also hit, which left 2 more members of state forces dead. At least 8 members of Turkish units were killed in clashes in this area that lasted till the evening hours, including 2 snipers.

On April 12, YPS units hit two separate Turkish units that tried to infiltrate into houses in İsmet Paşa neighborhood. YPS said details of these actions will be announced later.

During the same day, 1 sniper and 1 special operations member were also killed.

YPS remarked that state forces are bombarding the neighborhoods of Cumhuriyet, Gazipaşa and İsmet Paşa with mortar and howitzer fire during the past two days, while clashes in Yeni neighborhood are ongoing for 3 uninterrupted days. Heavy fighting in Bahçelievler area also continues.

YPS added that ID details of a martyred member of theirs will be announced later.
