ŞIRNAK
Drawing attention to the heroic resistance mounted by Civil Defense Units against the genocidal attacks aimed at them, the statement said that YPS units on April 19 conducted the same kind of action they had carried out against Turkish forces on April 15-16th.
Accordingly, a group of 40 special operations police (PÖH) was targeted by YPS units as they got into a 8-storey building in Bahçelievler neighborhood at 03:20 on April 19 midnight. A sabotage action aimed at them left 30 PÖH members dead and 10 others wounded as a result of the blast here.
YPS units also hit another PÖH group that rushed to the scene for intervention, which killed 11 PÖH members.
In a following action, YPS members hit and destroyed an armored vehicle that similarly made an attempt to intervene the scene after the blast. 3 more PÖH members died here.
Another armored vehicle trying to head to the scene was in the same way hit by YPS units, as a result of which the driver of the vehicle died.
While state forces were able to retrieve their casualties from the rubble only 5 hours later, the neighborhoods protected by YPS came under heavy fire from state forces in the wake of violent clashes in these areas. The bombardment with tank, mortar and howitzer fire left some 10 houses on fire and a mosque demolished.
The aggression of Turkish forces on Cumhuriyet, Yeni and İsmet paşa neighborhoods is going on.
NUSAYBİN
The statement said that YPS members downed a Turkish drone flying over Koçera neighborhood of Nusaybin at noon on April 19. YPS underlined that Turkish forces have once again used the weapon that forms a fire circle within a range of 50 meters.
