YPS General Coordination issued a written statement on the actions its forces carried out in Nusaybin.

In its statement, YPS said that 1 special operations officer was killed, while 2 earth diggers and one tank was damaged in Martyr Gelhat neighborhood on May 4. On the other hand, 2 special operations members were killed in the same neighborhood during a YPS-JIN action on May 6.

YPS announced that its forces carried out 2 sabotage actions against state forces entering 2 houses near Weysika Kordon on May 7. Accordingly, 3 members of state forces died and 2 got injured during the first action, and the numbers of dead and injured soldiers in the second house has not yet been clarified.

According to the statement, YPS-JIN members carried out a sabotage action against a Special Operations Gendarme Scout Unit of 15 soldiers near Koçera neighborhood’s Kordon Street on May 8. A total of 10 special operations members died, and one of these casualties was reportedly a colonel. 4 soldiers that came to the street as reinforcement forces were also killed.
