YPS-JIN Coordination called on “patriotic Kurdistan women to join them”.
YPS-JIN Coordination released a written statement to mark its foundation anniversary and 8 March, International Working Women's Day.
“The Kurdistan Women's Freedom Movement, which led the revolution with the self-power and self-defence resistance of women, founded by Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan, has become a hope for social freedom and gained a universal character,” the statement said.
'LET'S ORGANIZE IN ALL CITIES'
The statement continued: “We salute Kurdish leader Öcalan, the Kurdistan Women's Freedom Movement, YJA Star guerrillas, political prisoners, Kurdish mothers, all women who resist slavery and fascism imposed by the male-dominated mentality with the awareness of self-defence in all areas of life and the people of Kurdistan. We mark the 6th anniversary of YPS-JIN, which focuses on women's self-awareness, their claim to build a free life with their own power, self-defence organization and the 8 March International Working Women's Day. We respectfully commemorate the martyrs of the revolution who promoted the truth of freedom with their stance, resistance, self-sacrifice and great will in every aspect of life and promise them a victory based on their legacy and the feeling of revenge.
The invading AKP-MHP fascism, a by-product of the Capitalist Modernity and its male-dominated mind, put into effect the 'Collapse' plan in 2015-2016, which aimed to eliminate our Kurdistan Freedom Movement in cities where the patriotic people of Kurdistan are predominant. Sêvê Demir, Mehmet Tunçê and Pakize Nayır and great commanders of the city resistances Çiyager, Zeryan, Çeko, Ruken, Xebatkar, Islam, Rojger, Berfin, Axin Kawa, Sêvê Demir, Mehmet Tunçê and Pakize Nayır heralded the glorious victory and ramped up the freedom resistance against the collapse plan under the motto "A free society is an organized society, an organized society is a society that defends itself" in the cities of Gimgim, Farqin, Bismil, Rêzan, Dêrîk, Kerboran, Nisêbîn, Cizîr, Silopî, Hezex, Gever, Wan, Şırnex.
Female heroes Bese, Zarife, and Leyla Qasım have gained representation and this tradition of resistance has turned into a huge movement under the leadership of Sakine Cansız, Beritan, Zilan, Delal, Ekin, Zeryan, Berfin, Axin, Sevê, Nucan, Pakize, Yıldız, Asya, Ruken, Arjin, Şilan Goyi, Sozdar Qamishlo, Zinarin Welat, Nuda Sason and all the martyrs of the revolution within the National Women's Liberation Struggle initiated by Öcalan. The women’s awareness, inspired by the philosophy and ideology of Öcalan, and the leadership of the Kurdish women have been a great hope for all women to seek freedom. It has shown how an organized woman can defeat an army, including deep ideological and philosophical thought, dedication, and a style of victory in war.
Let's organize and raise the fight against the AKP-MHP fascist organizations, rape, prostitution and drug dealers in all cities of Kurdistan and Turkey. We call on patriotic Kurdistan women to join the organized forces of YPS-JIN in their areas, to secure the physical freedom of Öcalan and to take an active part in the struggle for freedom in the 7th year of YPS-JIN's struggle.”
