YPS (Civilian Defense Units) Press Center issued a written statement on their website and said the following:

“On August 27, our YPS unit arrested a man named Ramazan Muğla who is a street custodian in Amed’s Yenişehir district. This man is from the Hesedere village in Amed’s Lice district. He has carried out counter-guerrilla activity and was tasked with determining the location of YPS units.

This man was also involved with the martyrdom of YPS members in the spring of 2017. His brother also works in the Anti-Terror Unit in the police. Our Martyr Xebat Gorse unit arrested the street custodian Ramazan Muğla on August 27, and he was investigated and then punished. Our unit also burned a vehicle that this man used and his brother owned. Our unit has retreated back to their base area safely after the action.”
