YPS units hit and seize a Turkish tank in Nusaybin

YPS units damaged and seized a tank of the Turkish army in Nusaybin where state forces can make no advance despite the high level of military presence.

The splendid resistance of Civil Defense Units (Kurdish: Yekineyên Parastina Sivîl -YPS) against the genocidal attacks of Turkish military and police forces continues in Nusaybin district of Mardin.

Turkish forces currently operating in the Kurdish town include 10 thousand soldiers, 10 thousand police, 150 tanks, 50 'Kirpi' type and 70 'Akrep' type armoured vehicles, 50 panzers-helicopters, 20 howitzers, 10 UAVs, 50 snipers and 10 bomb-dismantling specialists. Yet, state forces have yet not been able to break the popular resistance for self-rule.

YPS units hit a Turkish tank in Yenişehir neighborhood and rendered it unusable. Turkish forces' failure to retrieve the damaged tank reveals the dimension of the resistance mounted against them.

YPS in Nusaybin had destroyed an armored vehicle of Turkish forces on April 12 and one digger working for state forces on April 13. The operator of the digger was also killed.

As the war-mongering Turkish media continues making endless efforts to hide the casualties suffered by Turkish military and police forces, the popular resistance for self-rule endures with determination, inflicting further losses on Turkish troops every passing day.

AKP-led Turkish forces have furthermore dug a trench at Nusaybin-Qamishlo border and stationed armored vehicle in this area.

In the meantime, 1 member of Turkish special operations forces has been killed in Nusaybin today. Yesterday's clashes and actions in the town resulted in the death of 1 special operations member and injury of 3 others.
