• Military operation and curfew in Mardin countryside 

  A curfew has been imposed on villages and hamlets in Nusaybin and Ömerli districts of Mardin as part of a military operation.
• Guerrillas strike Turkish troops in Zap, Metîna and Heftanîn 

  The People’s Defence Forces (HPG) and Free Women’s Units (YJA Star) guerrillas carried out actions against the Turkish forces in Zap, Metîna and Heftanîn. Three Turkish soldiers were killed in guerrilla strikes.

  A fire set by the Turkish military in Dersim’s Hozat district has not been extinguished for five days. The population is prevented from extinguishing the flames.

  The Shengal Defence Units (YBŞ) issued a call for “realization of Autonomous Shengal” in a statement to mark the seventh anniversary of the ISIS genocide against Yazidis on August 3, 2014.

  The number of people arrested in connection with the explosion of a military truck in Gever has increased to seven. According to reports, those arrested are being mistreated in the gendarmerie command.
