Cevdet Konak, the co-mayor of Dersim whose authority was usurped said: "We will not surrender our will to the occupying forces that disregard the Kurdish people's sovereignty."
Speaking in Dersim, DEM Party Co-Chair Tülay Hatimoğulları said, “Let us increase our struggle against the trustee regime and this fascist authoritarian regime. We will succeed through solidarity and our resistance will surely be victorious.”
