Turkish Interior Minister Muammer Güler answered BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) Kars deputy Mülkiye Birtane's written parliamentary question on women killings.

The Minister said that 1,411 women were killed in Turkey between 2009 and 2012. According to the minister, the main causes of the mentioned women killings were domestic violence, honor killings and blood-feud murders.
