A huge blast has occurred near the Police Headquarters in the province of Antep Sunday morning.

A number of police teams and ambulances have been dispatched to the scene of the blast which was felt across the whole city. Eyewitnesses say a clash erupted after the explosion and many policemen were rushed to hospitals with ambulances.

Initial reports say that the blast occurred after detonation of a bomb-laden vehicle at the main entrance gate of the Police Directorate.

Governor of Antep announced that 1 police died and 13 people including 9 policemen were injured as a result of the explosion.
