12 detained in Ankara for joining Newroz celebration
Police units raided a number of houses in the Turkish capital Ankara earlier today, targeting students accused of joining Newroz celebrations and opening “illegal flags”.

Police units raided a number of houses in the Turkish capital Ankara earlier today, targeting students accused of joining Newroz celebrations and opening “illegal flags”.
Following a very detailed search in every one of the houses raided in the operation, 12 students were taken into custody.
Detained students have been taken to Ankara police headquarters.
