13 detained, 3 arrested in political genocide operations in four cities

Detentions and arrests continue in the ongoing operations of political genocide which were carried out in İzmir, Mardin, Aydın and Şırnak provinces today, as part of which 13 people were detained and 3 were arrested.
İZMİR
At least 11 people including children have been detained in simultaneous operations in Menemen, Bayrakl, Buca, Gaziemir and Narlıdere districts in the morning. The raided homes were searched for hours and some people on the list could not be found in the addresses.
Names of some of the detainees charged with membership to YDG-H are: Suat Dorukan, Vedat Yıldırım, Mahsun Çakal, Doğancan Çakal, Yakup İrlan, Mehmet Çalışal, Selami Kutlu, Muhammed Güler, Onurcan Aydın, Kadir Yıldız, Mehmet Gündüz.
Detainees were taken to the İzmir Security Directorate and reports say more detentions may follow.
MARDİN
Mardin Metropolitan Municipality Health Department Head Dr. Hüseyin Falay, Metropolitan Public Health Director Cengiz Öztürk, Mazıdağı Municipality workers Abdullah Doğan, Bahri Temel, Erdal Kaya and Hemo Korur, Mustafa Korul, Davut Vural, Ramazan Vural, Sadettin Vural, Selahattin Vural, Ramazan Şık and 4 other people had been detained and charged with involvement in the bomb attack on Cevizli Gendarmerie Outpost in Mardin’s Artuklu district.
The detainees were transferred to the court following their statements in the prosecutor’s office.
14 out of the 16 detainees were released, while Abdullah Doğan and Bahri Temel were arrested and transferred to Mardin Type E Prison with charges of membership to a terrorist organisation.
A young man named Ömer Erol was also detained in house raids conducted by the police last night in Kale neighborhood in Mardin’s Derik district. The reason for Erol’s detention wasn’t declared and he is still held in the Derik District Police Headquarters.
Evin Duman, detained in Nusaybin district the previous day, was arrested and transferred to Mardin Type E Prison.
AYDIN
Özgür Gündem employee Zeydan Kaya (19) was detained in a house raid in Aydın. Kaya was a guest in the raided house and was taken to the Anti-terror Unit Headquarters.
ŞIRNAK
Following the curfew declared in Roboski village in Şırnak’s Uludere district, peace activist Yannis Vasilis Yaylalı was detained in early morning house raids. Yaylalı was taken to the Gülyazı Regimental Command.
Reports say house raids continue in Roboski and most of the villagers have had their phones confiscated.
