The YPG Press Centre has reported that 13 gang members were killed in clashes yesterday in Kobanê and Til Hemis, while in Til Temir YPG/YPJ forces found the bodies of 18 gang members in search operations. Large quantities of ammunition were also seized.
The YPG Press Centre recalled that the resistance in Kobanê against the attacks of ISIS gangs is now in its 230th day. The press centre statement said that 2 gang members had been killed in an operation carried out on the Mirabba hill to the south of the city.
On the same front 4 gang members were killed in clashes around the villages of Elganê and Ernê.
The YPG also said that in clashes that took place last night near the village of Xîzêla to the south of Til Hemis 7 gang members were killed.
The YPG Press Centre said: “In Til Temir on the western border of Cizire (Jazireh) Canton our forces repulsed attacks mounted by ISIS on 30 April. Subsequently, the corpses of 18 gang members and 24 AK 47s, 30 AK 47 magazines, 4 B7 rocket launchers, 1 machine gun and large quantities of ammunition were seized.”
