Hundreds of people attended the celebration which was addressed by Zero Dersim after a minute silence to honour the martyrs of freedom. Dersim commemorated Mahsum Korkmaz (Agit), who led the 15 August 1984 Initiative.

Stating that the martyrs should be protected, Dersim said: "The way to protect the martyrs is through raising the struggle."

After the speech young people organised a march.
