15 ESP members remanded in custody in Istanbul

17 members of ESP (Socialist Party of the Oppressed) who were detained in Istanbul on Tuesday, were remanded in custody on alleged charges of “opposing the law on meetings and demonstrations”.

17 members of ESP (Socialist Party of the Oppressed) who were detained in Istanbul on Tuesday, were referred to Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan yesterday morning.

Following the referral to a vacation court, 15 of the detainees were remanded in custody on alleged charges of “opposing the law on meetings and demonstrations”.

The names of the arrested ESP members are: Şafak Güray, Filiz Çolak, Bersu Eroğlu, Mahir Can Gültekin, Gamze Yüger, İbrahim Görür, Ersin Topçu, Çağdaş Avcıoğlu, Uğur Polat, Ali Haydar Akdeniz, Çağrı Aydoğan, Soner Özel, İsmail Gökçe, Fırat Kınalı ve İlhan Yaşmin.
