At least 15 people died and 25 people got injured during the car bomb attack on the Nasa-Hablod Hotel in Somali’s capital Mogadishu.

At least 15 people died and 25 people got injured during the car bomb attack on the Nasa-Hablod Hotel in Somali’s capital Mogadishu. Colonel Muhammed Abdulkadir stated that many of the people that died were civilians passing by or shopping in nearby shops. Lieutenant Mohamed Hussein noted that the attackers took cover in between the rubbles of the building and clashes took place after the car bomb explosion.
Hussein stated that the attackers took a group of the hotel’s clients hostage, placed snipers on the top and second floors of the building, and used grenades and machine guns in order to prevent the entrance of security forces into the hotel.
