The statement said the YPG/YPJ forces liberated Lower Sexler and Nasirî village in an operation launched last night, adding that the gang groups have blown up the bridge on Euphrates River during their flight from the liberated areas. YPG said the operation in the area continues.
Reporting on the clashes on the eastern front, YPG said ISIS gangs last night launched an attack on the emplacements of YPG/YPJ forces near Şêro village. Responding strongly to the attack, YPG/YPJ forces inflicted heavy blow on the gangs, leaving 7 gang members dead.
The statement said YPG/YPJ forces launched another attack on Akbas village in the same area, leaving 2 more gang members dead.
YPG said ISIS groups launched an attack on the control point of Tigris to the south of Kobanê last night, adding that the gangs were defeated by the strong response of YPG/YPJ fighters. 3 gang members were killed while another one was wounded in the clashes, reported the YPG.
The statement reported that 4 gang members were killed as YPG/YPJ forces launched another attack on the gang groups positioned around Sîdar hill.
YPG also said in the statement that 3 YPG/YPJ fighters lost their lives in the clashes of the last 24 hours.
The statement further reported that YPG/YPJ forces mounted an attack on the gang groups emplaced near Xerita village between Heseke and Til Temir last night. 2 gang members were killed in the clashes here as far as ascertained, added the statement.
In another attack on 4 March night, YPG/YPJ fighters targeted the gang groups positioned around Alya, according to the YPG statement, which additionally reported that 1 vehicle of the gangs was destroyed and 1 gang member was killed while another one was wounded in the clashes in this area.
