16 people detained in Batman and Mardin

15 people were detained in the political genocide attacks in Batman and one in Mardin.

Political genocide operations were carried out this morning as part of the investigation opened by the Batman Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and 15 people were detained.

The 15 were said to have been detained on the allegation that they participated in the funeral of Necmettin İlhan, who fell a martyr during clashes on September 22, 2014 during the fight against ISIS in Kobanê. The 15 people detained were taken to the Provincial Security Directorate.

The names of those detained are as follows:

Şemsettin Eser, Abdulkadir Soyvural, Mehmet Uluç, Leyla Açar, Mizgin Avanaş, Behçet Güngör, Fatma Tan, Kenan Güngör, Muhittin Şahin, Muzaffer Oran, Menaf Kızar, Faruk Ergün, Mehmet Selim Akyol and Mehmet Utanç.

MARDIN

On the other hand, Abdülkadir Güner, a lawyer from the Mardin Bar Association, was detained at the Mardin Provincial Security Directorate, where he went to give a statement as part of an investigation launched against him.

It was learned that the investigation against Güner was initiated with the allegation of "making terrorist propaganda". Mardin Public Prosecutor's Office decided to detain Güner for 2 days.
