Following the recent lifting of parliamentary immunities, 30 summaries of proceedings against HDP MPs in the Ministry of Justice that hadn’t been referred to the Parliament yet have been referred to the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office to be processed.

Officials have been reported to say that the summaries have been referred to the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office directly without referral to the Parliament as they were covered by the constitutional amendment. 130 more summaries have been reported to be in the classification process in line to be referred to the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office.

With 160 summaries arriving in Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, it is expected that the unlawful process will commence and the deputies will be summoned for statements. To this extent, the prosecutor might dismiss the charges or choose to prepare an indictment.
