300 intellectuals, artists, writers, academics and journalists, added their names to a statement of support for the Green Left Party in the 14 May elections.
The statement said: "We, the undersigned intellectuals, artists, writers, peace academics, representatives of the women's movement, opinion leaders and filmmakers see the elections to be held on 14 May as an opportunity to ensure a democratic transformation of Turkey.
In this context, we invite you to vote for the Green Left Party for a strong, democratic and pluralist opposition to ensure the democratic transformation it promises, and for Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who has promised to bring the fear regime created in the presidential election to a democratic transformation.”
