31 people from the Yazidi community have managed to escape ISIS captivity in Tel Afer and reach safe areas controlled by Kurdish forces in Herdani town in Sinjar.

31 people from the Yazidi community have managed to escape ISIS captivity in Tel Afer and reach safe areas controlled by Kurdish forces in Herdani town in Sinjar.

The 31 Yazidis from Solax village of Sinjar, who include 4 women and 27 children, have reportedly managed to escape through their own efforts.

216 Yazidi civilians who had been kidnapped during the ISIS attacks on Sinjar on 3 August 2014, were freed yesterday near a safe area close to Kirkuk city of South Kurdistan.
