34 people, including ESP co-chair and SKM spokesperson remanded in custody

34 people, including ESP co-chair Hatice Deniz Aktaş and SKM spokesperson Tanya Kara, were remanded in custody.

Only three of the 41 people detained in the operation targeting members of the Socialist Party of the Oppressed (ESP), Socialist Women's Assemblies (SKM) and Socialist Youth Associations Federation (SGDF) were released. The remaining 38 people were referred to the Criminal Court of Peace with a request for arrest without their statements being taken by the prosecutor's office.

34 people whose statements were completed here were remanded in custody on charges of "membership of an illegal organization" and "making propaganda for an illegal organization", while 4 people were released on condition of judicial control.

The names of those sent to prison are as follows: ESP co-chair Hatice Deniz Aktaş, SKM General spokesperson Tanya Kara, SGDF co-chair Berfin Polat, ESP MYK members Okan Danacı and Uğur Ok, ESP PM member Ezgi Gürbüz, ESP Sultangazi District co-chairs Gamze Toprak and Erol Tunç, ESP Esenyurt representative Cafer Erözsoy, SKM Istanbul Provincial spokesperson Leyla Can, SKM General Assembly member Dilara Su Kalpak, SGDF MYK members Hivda Selen, Simay Ada Kart and Adnan Özcan, United Workers Movement Spokesperson Meliha Kayacı, Serpil Topal, Emrah Topaloğlu, Senem Nur Pektaş, Bahadır Çağırgan, Ibrahim Akbay, Yoldaş Onur Mete, Berkan Balcı, Rezan Akkoyun, Müslüm Koyun, Bağlar Municipality Assembly member Muhammed Altunkaya, Zeynep Tekin, Ahmet Bilal Bay, Revolutionary Party PM member Yakup Bulut, Azze Deniz Akşar, Bekir Efe Cesur, Sıla Turan, Mazlum Ortaç, Doğan İnan and ETHA journalist Züleyha Müldür.
