HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party) Şırnak MP Ferhat Encü was being held in the Kandıra Type F Closed Prison awaiting trial, and the hearing was held today in the Şırnak High Criminal Court No.2.

Encü was accused of “violating Provincial Administrations Act No.5442, organizing illegal gatherings and protest marches, administering them, joining in their actions” and “membership to a terrorist organization”, and attended the hearing through the video conferencing system SEGBİS.

His family and HDP MPs Aycan İrmez and Mehmet Ali Aslan were present in the hearing where Encü was issued one 3 years 9 months 10 days sentence for “terrorist propaganda” and another 10 months for “violating the Provincial Administrations Act”.
