5.1 magnitude earthquake reported near nuclear plant in Iran

A 5.1 magnitude earthquake have been registered near a nuclear power plant in southwestern Iran.

American geological institute USGS reported that the epicenter of the earthquake was 45 kilometers from the Bushehr nuclear power plant in Iran.

The earthquake was felt in the countryside around Kalameh at 5.25 am local time.

According to the ISNA news agency, no damages have been reported. 

Cihangir Dehgani, director of the state's crisis centre, said confirmed that no information about damages have been received. He added that given the severity of the earthquake, roads in some mountainous areas may have been blocked.
