5 ISIS members were killed and one other was captured alive in clashes in Sinjar.

HPG (People's Defense Forces) Sinjar Command & YBŞ (Sinjar Resistance Units) General Command reported in a written statement that the operation to liberate Sinjar continued.

The statement recalled that HPG-YJA Star, YBŞ and Shehy Xeyri forces had launched an operational offensive yesterday, as a result of which the village of Sîkiniye, a hill overlooking the village, two hills and a post in Geliye Shilo were taken control by resistance forces.

According to the statement by HPG/YBŞ, forces of resistance carried out an action against ISIS groups between Suka and Kadifi neighborhoods at 20.30 yesterday evening, leaving two members of the gangs dead.

HPG & YBŞ said clashes in the mentioned region continued from afternoon till late evening, adding that 3 gang members were ascertained killed and many others were wounded in the fighting.

YJA STAR guerrilla Kader Korkmaz martyred

The statement reported that Kader Korkmaz, nom de guerre Vinar Semsur, who was born in Malatya, was martyred whilst fighting in the operation to liberate Sinjar in which she had taken an active role.

One ISIS member captured alive

The HPG/YBŞ statement added that one member of the ISIS gangs was captured alive as YJA STAR guerrillas conducted an action against the gang groups in Geliye Shilo and Bare area yesterday afternoon.
