Police forces stormed several houses simultaneously in a political genocide operation carried out in Batman province early in the morning.

Seven people were taken into custody during the raids, including HDP (Peoples’ Democratic Party) local administrator Ayşe Adlığ and HDP Youth Council member Harun Aydın.

The arrests are reported to be based on the social media posts of those detained concerning Kobane in 2015. The detainees are held at the provincial police department.
