The Internationalist Feminist Women are promoting an action for the 7,000 prisoners on hunger strike called ‘7,000 banners’.
The Internationalist Feminist Women said in a statement: “We listened to the voice of the resistance.”
Reminding that the hunger strike demanding the end of isolation is led by HDP Hakkari MP Leyla Güven and that the action then spread in the prisons and in many cities in the world, the organisation said: “Solidarity will make this struggle visible. Five people died in hunger strikes. It is very important to be the voice of the 7,000 hunger strikers.”
The group said that they will hang 7,000 banners all over Switzerland, starting on 6 April. “We will put up a banner for every hunger striker. We all have to do something. Let’s hang banners on our windows, schools, work places, bikes, car…”
