Thousands of  public servants have been suspended within the scope of the disintegration within the Turkish state in the wake of last week's failed coup attempt.

As many as 8,777 public servants working from the Ministry of Interior have been suspended. These include 7,899 security personnel, 614 gendarmes, 30 governors and 47 district governors.
