Turkish police carried out raids on several houses early this morning in Çiçekdağı, Hamzamlar, Beşdere, Körsü, Çevirme and Güldamı neighborhoods in Tekman district of Erzurum.

Eight people including HDP councilor candidate Zekerya Kaldır were taken into custody in the operation.

The detainees have been taken to Tekman district police department.
