At least 9 people were taken into custody in the operation which reportedly targeted participants of commemoration held in İzmir for İbrahim Tufan Eroğluer and Ayşe Deniz Karacagil who were martyred fighting ISIS in the Raqqa operation three days ago.

Those detained in the operation include Revolutionary Party İzmir provincial chair Hazal Elçin Yanar and ESP İzmir provincial chair Ezgi Bahçeci. Helin Ertekin was detained in Mersin as part of the same operation and she will reportedly be referred to İzmir.
