Eynê Öcalan, the 97-year-old aunt of Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan, passed away today due to health problems.

Speaking to ANF, the Kurdish people's leader's brother Mehmet Öcalan said that his aunt was struggling with more than one disease due to her advanced age.

He added that hundreds of people came to the condolence tent established in the village of Amara. “Her body could no longer take these problems. We would like to thank everyone who expressed their condolences.”
