Bert Schouwenburg is an international trade union advisor; he is the former international director of GMB trade union where he was responsible together with UNITE for the establishment of the Freedom for Ocalan Campaign in 2016. He was a GMB activist and full-time official (1993-2018) for 38 years. He is interviewed by journalist Erem Kansoy.

Topics of discussion include the conditions of Ocalan’s imprisonment, the significance of Ocalan for realizing a political resolution of the Kurdish question and peaceful co-existence in the region, and the importance of the Freedom for Ocalan Campaign.
