Öcalan calls for Kurdish national unity

The Kurdish leader mainly made evaluations about the South (of Kurdistan) and called for unity.

Asrın Law Office announced earlier today that Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan, as well as Ömer Hayri Konar, Hamili Yıldırım and Veysi Aktaş who are held in Imralı F Type Closed High Security Prison have spoken to their family members by phone on Monday.

According to the family members, the Imralı prisoners are in good state of health.

Ömer Hayri Konar’s brother Ali Konar said he and his sister had a short talk with their brother. Ali Konar said; “He just asked how the family was doing. He said they were in good state and were worried over the pandemic. He said the prisoners on the island did not meet with each other in order to take care of their health.”

According to the Yıldırım family, Hamili Yıldırım said during their 20-minute long phone talk that they were in good state of health. The family noted that they would be able to have another telephone conversation.

Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan talked to his brother Mehmet Öcalan who told the following about today’s conversation; “We were called yesterday and asked to go to Urfa Public Prosecutor’s Office at 1 pm today. We did this and had a phone talk today. The conversation lasted 20-25 minutes and was interrupted once. He told that he was in good health condition, saying that there were no cases of infection there but one could not know what the future would bring. He mainly made evaluations about the South (of Kurdistan) and he called for unity.”
