The France tour of the “Öcalan Library - Freedom for Öcalan and All Political Prisoners” bus that promotes Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan’s thoughts, ideology, biography and books visited Normandy, Villieneuve Saint Gorges and continued to the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
The Öcalan Library bus first visited the Normandy region where it was greeted by the Montes La Jolie Democratic Kurdish Society Center council members with a convoy and music.
A stand was set up in front of the Mantes La Jolie Church where flyers and brochures promoting Öcalan’s ideas were disseminated, and a rally was held afterwards. Montes La Jolie city council members Marc Jammet and Nicole Bock gave speeches in the rally.
The speeches stressed that peace in the Middle East can only be achieved through Öcalan’s freedom. The speakers gave messages that they stand with the Kurdish people.
Montes La Jolie Democratic Kurdish Society Cener (KCDK-E) Co-chairs Fatoş Göksungur (KCDK- E), council member Murat Ceylan, Kurdish politician Cuma Tak and representatives from the French Communist Party participated in a panel discussion about the isolation imposed upon Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan and his health.
The second stop of the Öcalan Library Bus was the Paris suburb Villeuneuve Saint Gorges.
Villieneuve Mayor Alexander Bayer, Caporal Cheysis in the name of the Champigny Municipality, French Communist Party 94th district Representative Gregori Geminel, Regional Council Chair representatives Nathalie Minber and Sabrina Aguv and a group of Kurdistanis greeted the bus enthusiastically in front of the Villieneuve Saint Gorges Municipality.
Speakers in the panel discussion in Villeuneuve Saint Gorges Democratic Kurdish Society Center said Öcalan’s paradigm had become a hope for not only the Kurdish people but all the oppressed peoples, and a screening was held describing Öcalan’s biography and ideology.
The Öcalan Library bus later travelled to the Eiffel Tower in Paris where a stand was set up to promote Öcalan’s ideas and paradigm.
French people and tourists showed great interest in the stand in front of the Eiffel Tower. Activists distributed brochures and flyers about Öcalan.
KCDK-E Co-chair Fatoş Göksungur gave a speech and said, “Throughout Europe, in every city we visit, the support offered by foreign friends and the messages that the Leader’s freedom must be obtained at once give us great morale. We are met with enthusiasm everywhere we go. We have a duty to let the whole world know about the Leader, and we will continue these efforts constantly.”
The mobile library promoting Öcalan’s thoughts and ideology will conclude the France tour today at 17.00 with a mass rally in the Republique Square in Paris.
