Şenyaşar family slams “the state of the oppressors”

The Şenyaşar family blasted the judicial system saying “What kind of state is this? The state of the oppressors!”.

The Justice Vigil, launched on March 9 by Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons in an armed attack that involved AKP Deputy İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who was injured in the same attack, continues in front of the courthouse in Urfa. The mother and son came to the concrete blocks in front of the courthouse in the early hours of the morning, displaying banners that read “Justice for All” and “No lawsuit has been launched for 3 years because a deputy is involved in the massacre.”

Solidarity visits to the family continue. Future Party vice chairs Gani Torun and Serkan Özcan and dozens of party members have visited the Şenyaşar family.

'THEY WASH AWAY THE MASSACRE'

Emine Şenyaşar said that “Every time we want to enter the courthouse, we are taken into custody. The 8th prosecutor to take care of our case came into office yesterday. There was a massacre in the hospital, but they deleted the footage and painted the wall of the hospital. Help us. My son was sentenced to 37 years in prison. He has been kept in solitary confinement for 3 years. The prosecutor demands my son be sentenced to 150 years. I want my son to be released. They took my Adil and my Celal away from me, they should give me my Fadil. What kind of state is this state? The state of the oppressors.”

Ferit Şenyaşar, who survived the attack and takes part in the vigil with his mother, said, “Solidarity makes us keep going. For 121 days, my mother, who is over 65 years old, has been crying here day and night. Her 2 sons and her husband were murdered inside the Suruç State Hospital. This massacre was recorded by security cameras. She has been crying here for 121 days and has been detained 6 times without justification. She was detained just because she wanted justice. Although there are footage and the reports of the hospital staff, they do not open a case because there is a deputy of the ruling party who was involved in the massacre.”

“My mother has 70 percent vision loss in her right eye and refuses treatment. She keeps saying ‘let my son be released, then I will be treated’. We want justice, solidarity and an end to this persecution.”

“We support your honourable resistance,” said the vice chairs of the Future Party, who visited the family today.
