Actions in Bilbao, Barcelona and Valencia to protest Paris massacre

Protests in the Basque Country and Catalonia and the Valencian Country denounce the massacre in Paris and the policies of collusion with the Turkish regime by European institutions and states.

Bilbao
Dozens of people attended the protest organized by Elkartasuna Kurdistango Emakumeekin and Women Defend Rojava yesterday afternoon in the Basque capital.

The organizers said they "object to Paris becoming the playground of terrorist operations against militant people of the Kurdish movement".

The protesters strongly condemn the decision to sacrifice the Kurdish people to the geopolitical interests of the European countries:

Activists also denounced the violence used by the French police against those Kurds protesting in Paris after the massacre.

Barcelona
About 60 demonstrators protested in front of the French embassy despite a large police deployment. The activists carried pictures of the three victims of the murder in Paris. The declarations of Kongra Star-Women's Movement and Azadì Jin were read. 
Activists pointed out the complicity of European states with the Turkish state.
From the French embassy, the activists marched to the Turkish Consulate.

They closed the rally by calling for a demonstration on 7 January in Barcelona for the 10th anniversary of the triple murder of Sara, Rojbin and Ronahi, pointing out the political feminicides.

   

Valencia

The Mediterranean city of Valencia also organized an action in solidarity with the Kurdish people. The protest, organized by the women's group Legerin Azadi- País Valencià, was attended by dozens of people and denounced the "triple murder of comrades of the Kurdish Liberation Movement".

Legerin Azadi condemned the "political assassination" and also denounced European complicity with the Turkish regime.
The demonstrators also paid homage to the three Kurdish militants murdered in Paris 10 years ago, Sakine Cansız, Fidan Doğan and Leyla Şaylemez.
