Actions in Switzerland to demand freedom for Öcalan

A protest tent was put up in Luzern on Wednesday while a solidarity hunger strike will begin in Bern on Friday.

A protest tent was put up in Luzern, Switzerland, to protest the isolation regime imposed on Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan and to demand is freedom.

Arin Mirkan Women's Council put up the tent at the central train station to denounce the isolation imposed on Öcalan. PKK and TJK-E flags were weaving around the tent and photos of the Kurdish people’s leader were also displayed.

Activists, Kurds and citizens visited the tent throughout the day.

The action ended on Wednesday evening.

Kurdish people living in Switzerland also announced that they will begin a hunger strike in Bern to demand freedom for Öcalan.

The hunger strike will begin on Friday, 7 December at the CDK in Bern, with a press conference at 12 pm.
