Activists hang PKK flag at Turkish Consulate in Paris

A PKK flag has been hung at the Turkish Consulate in Paris by activists of the "Apoist Youth" in protest at Turkey’s attacks on Kurdistan.

To protest against the Turkish state's attacks on Kurdistan and the neo-Ottoman expansion plans, young activists have put up a PKK flag and a banner reading "Erdogan out of Kurdistan" at the Turkish Consulate in Paris, capital of France.

A statement of the "Apoist youth" on the action said that the Kurdish people will never accept the colonialism in their country and the group is ready to respond to all attacks. In their statement, the youth refer to the recent developments in Southern Kurdistan, where the Turkish occupation ambitions have taken on a new dimension through the collaboration of the Barzani Party KDP. The KDP, in agreement with the Turkish state, has stationed armed units with heavy weapons in Zinê Wertê at the edge of the guerrilla area in the Qandil Mountains. The PKK evaluates this step as a declaration of war and warns of renewed bloodshed in an internal Kurdish conflict.
