Speaking on behalf of Civaka Azad, Renas Afrin focused on the Turkish state's invasion attacks in Kurdistan and the resistance carried out by the Kurdistan freedom guerrillas. “We used to say that the only friends of Kurds are the mountains. Now, when we look at this hall, we see that we have many friends. When we look at the Internationals in the Rojava resistance, we see that we have many friends. We want wars to end. But we must be realistic. The Turkish state is occupying our land and this war will not end soon. The Turkish state is using chemical gas against the guerrillas. We want you to take action against it."
The Hope, Peace and Justice Association for Kurdistan representative spoke about the history of the Maxmur refugee camp and the attacks carried out by the Turkish state against Maxmur.
