Activists in Berlin protest Turkish state violence and repression

Activists in Berlin protested the repression and violence carried out by the Turkish state with a car convoy through the city.

Activists in Berlin protested against the stripping of immunity and detention of HDP deputies and the repression carried out by the AKP-MHP regime.

Activists organised a car convoy through various boroughs of Berlin. Despite the heavy police presence, the activists made various stops in places such as Neukölln, Kreuzberg, Wedding and in front of the Chancellery.

The convoy drove through the busy streets of the city playing Kurdish resistance music. The cars were adorned with flags of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) and Rojava.

At every stop, activists delivered short speeches to condemn the violence against women carried out by mercenaries of the Turkish occupation forces in northern Syria and the racist murder of the young Barış Çakan in Ankara for listening to Kurdish music.
