Activists in Germany protest against attacks on Shengal

Protests against the attack carried out by the Iraqi government forces against Shengal were held in many cities of Germany. The demonstrations were organised by the Kurdistan Democratic Societies Congress (KCDK-E) and the European Kurdish Women's Movement.

BERLIN

The Iraqi government's attack on Shengal in cooperation with the KDP and the invading Turkish state was protested in front of the Iraqi Consulate in Berlin.

The protest was organised by Nav-Berlin, Dest-Dan Women's Council and Yazidi Women's Council, with the slogan "Defend Shengal".

In the statement read on behalf of the central Yazidi organization in Germany, Nav-Yek and the Yazidi Women's Assembly, a call was made to the international community and institutions not to remain silent about this edict.

BIELFELD

An emergency action was held in Bielefeld, led by the Yazidi institution and the Bielefeld People's Assembly, to protest the attacks on Shengal.

Speeches were made on behalf of the Yazidi Women's Assembly Roof Organization, NAV-YEK, Bielefeld People's Assembly and Jinên Xwendekarên Kurdistanê.

Speakers called for strong participation in the march to be held in Bielefeld on Saturday, 7 May.

STUTTGART

The Kurdish Women's Movement TJK-E and KCDK-E organised a demonstration in the city of Stuttgart to protest the invasion attempt of Kazımi forces against Shengal.

In the speeches, attention was drawn to the agreement between the KDP-Turkey and Iraq targeting the Autonomous Administration in Shengal on 9 October 2021.

SAARBRUCKEN

The attacks against Shengal were protested in front of Europa Galerie in the city center of Saarbrucken.
