A memorial was held in Giessen, Germany, to commemorate the martyrs of the Garê resistance. Martyr Xabur Derik (Cabbar Ismail) was commemorated too.
The co-chair of the Giessen People's Assembly made a speech at the commemoration, which started with a minute of silence.
The speakers said everyone should support the guerrilla resistance.
KOMAW saluted the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle in the person of Garê martyrs.
On behalf of Derik's family, his nephew Zinar Rojava made a speech.
European Kurdish Women's Movement (TJK-E) and the PYD also spoke at the memorial and called on everyone to participate in the campaigns demanding freedom for Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan.
