The Turkish state's invasion attacks against the Medya Defense Areas were protested in a demonstration organised by the Kurdish Youth Assembly in Hannover. The action carried out with the slogan "Everywhere Zap, everywhere Avashin against occupation and genocide.”

Ciwan Çewlik of the Hannover Youth Council addressed the crowd and pointed out that the Turkish state receives the greatest support from the German state. Çewlik said: “We are calling on the German state to stop being a partner of Turkey in the oppression and occupation of the Kurds. The German government should stop selling arms to Turkey and release Kurdish politicians imprisoned in Germany. As Kurds living in Germany, we will always stand up for our leader, Abdullah Öcalan, and the guerrilla.”
