Activists in Stockholm demand freedom for Abdullah Öcalan

Kurdish people carried out an action in Stockholm last night demanding freedom for Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Kurdish people gathered in Stockholm last night demanding freedom for Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan.

The action was organised within the frame of the “End Isolation, Fascism and Occupation. Time for Freedom" campaign.

During the action, leaflets were distributed explaining the isolation policy implemented by the Turkish state and demanding the release of Kurdish people's leader Öcalan.

Kurdish people, who wrote the slogan "Freedom for Öcalan" in English with pictures of Abdullah Öcalan, also celebrated the 43rd anniversary of the establishment of the PKK and placed a giant Öcalan picture and a PKK flag on a gate in the square where the action was carried out.

The activists, who shouted slogans demanding Öcalan's release, declared that they will continue to be in the squares until he is liberated.
