Activists in Stockholm protest Turkish attacks against Northern and Eastern Syria
The killings of Qamishlo Canton co-chair Yusra Darwish, her deputy Leyman Shiwesh and Firat Tûma by a Turkish drone last Tuesday, were protested in Stockholm.
A banner reading "Get your bloody hands off the Kurds" was carried at the rally in Sergels Torget square. The protest was organized by the Amara Women's Council.
Speakers at the rally said that Erdogan and his mercenaries have committed war crimes against the Kurds. "All world organizations should speak out and take a stance against these brutal attacks. The Turkish state is targeting women, like ISIS did before. Rojava airspace should be closed."
The protest ended with the slogans "Jin Jiyan Azadi", "Defend Rojava" and "Erdogan equals ISIS".
